This review is from: Asus T101MT-EU37-BK 10.1" Touch-Enabled Eee PC Tablet (Dual core Atom N570 processor, 250GB) (Personal Computers)I also received this netbook as part of the Nvidea legal settlement. It is a poor replacement for the HP Tablet notebook it is replacing, but it is better than nothing. The notebook it is replacing was completely dead.
I've upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium from the "Starter" version supplied with the unit. Why ASUS ships it with the "Starter" version is hard to understand. The touch scrreen requires the upgrade to be fully functional.
I also upgraded it to 2 GB of RAM. It is interesting to note that the available slot for a RAM upgrade is empty from the factory. There is 1 GB of RAM installed internally. this is not discussed in the available documentation. I contacted ASUS technical support to determine the correct parts to do the upgrade since it is not addressed in the available documentation. The response that I received said to use a 2 GB module installed in the available slot. They also provided the specs for the type of RAM to use. I purchased that... Read more

Nvidia Settlement - Consider me impressed,
This review is from: Asus T101MT-EU37-BK 10.1" Touch-Enabled Eee PC Tablet (Dual core Atom N570 processor, 250GB) (Personal Computers)I received this model as a replacement for my constantly ailing HP tx1000.
After months of use I have to say I am impressed... This is not your average netbook.
1. UPGRADE FROM WIN7 STARTER (I installed professional)
2. UPGRADE THE RAM TO 2GB.
It's probably helped I have not overloaded with bloated programs... Just the best essential programs and Office 2010 Professional. NETFLIX and Slingplayer run great.
The touchscreen is responsive and great for browsing... The dual-core makes a bigger difference than I expected.
Just so you can understand my comparison with an original netbook, I have an ASUS EeePC 1000h... Also upgraded to 2GB of ram and it hangs when I load more than 3 browser tabs. No issues with this model.
This model is compact and feels sturdy. The swivel hinge is not of poor quality. Battery life at high performance gives me 4 to 5 hours.
My only... Read more

This review is from: Asus T101MT-EU37-BK 10.1" Touch-Enabled Eee PC Tablet (Dual core Atom N570 processor, 250GB) (Personal Computers)I bought this device for two reasons. 1. I needed windows operating system on a touch screen device that could be held and read like a tablet, running Windows. 2. I needed to use a stylus for the precision of a mouse. Newer touch capacitive devices are designed for finger swipes, not a stylus. They do make stylus devices for the newer touch capacitive screens, but they are wide just like your finger, so just like your finger, they lack precision.
I had ordered an Acer ICONIA TAB W500-BZ467 10.1" (http://www.amazon.com/Acer-Iconia-W500-BZ467-10-1-Inch-Tablet/dp/B004SBI2PW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1321436244&sr=8-1), but it only came with 32 gb of hard drive space. The windows 7 os took up about half of that and installing Microsoft Office and a few other apps took most of the remainder. However, that tablet had much better video and graphics intensive cabability. Even so, I returned it due to lack of precision and the hard drive space was used up before I could even get... Read more
