The benefits of this netbook over the others I researched was the capabilities i.e. long battery life, decent power of the processor, good graphics, nice keyboard, internal storage, and expandability. I picked it over the tablet market because the various forms of tablets still fall short of the main need to be able to work, not for long periods of time, with multiple media forms such as word, excel, powerpoint, picture editing, and video manipulation. Tablets are cool, and handy, but this netbook and others like it offer the same portability as the tablets with great user experience and productivity. I have installed 2gigs of ram, cleaned off the bloat-wear such as trend micro and this little laptop is just screaming fast. I have played HD video from streaming to multi-gig avi movies. This little netbook is PERFECT for what I was looking for. It's not perfect, but after reading all the reviews of other netbooks this is as close as you can get. In short: Pros: lightweight and portable nice and sturdy in look and feel keyboard is smaller than usual but easy to get used to battery lasts 8-9 hours on power saving setting, which compromises nothing quick start-up means I can turn it off when I don't need it and immediately boot it back up if needed webcam is basic, but sufficient, and has a shutter to ensure privacy Cons: Windows 7 starter doesn't let you change the wallpaper picture (not a big deal) the right shift key is so tiny that sometimes I hit "pg up" instead... This machine is not powerful but do the job in office applications and web surfing. The black alluminun finish is very good looking.I intend to put a new 2GB memory to piece of mind.
